First up in the brand spanking new (to this blog anyways) Link Love category, the blogs! I’ve been on a bit of a hunt the last month or so, for more blogs to devour because a lot of the people I used to know I er, can’t remember the addresses for. (That’s bad, right?)
So, here are some of the newbies I’ve found that I’m really enjoying:
Nikki – www.ohfabulous.co.uk – Nikki is cool. Seriously.
Amy – www.wolfwhistle.org (okay, not a newbie, we are friends, but I like, love her)
Lacey – littlemissgemini.wordpress.com – Lacey is so sweet, I wish she blogged more tho ![]()
orangette.blogspot.com – a fantastic food blog, by a couple who’ve just opened a pizza restaurant. Lovely!
Jules – blackbarbieexperience.blogspot.com – one of my favourite ladies, ever.
I have a big list in my feed reader that I wanted to write about, but honestly I’m pretty tired and I want to go to bed, but I feel like I should say hi to the two of you who are reading this on a semi regular basis. (if you are, please say hi back!
)
Or, the perfect new winter jacket for under £50
First up, we have Tesco’s, with this cute green number for £30:

unfortunately for me my local Tesco is only stocking this in hot pink, which doesn’t really blend with my hair very well.
Next up then, is this darling mac from ASOS for £28 (also available in stone)

I like this chic look, and the navy is a bonus
Now, I know what I said about pink just 5 seconds ago, but I really like this tulip red herring jacket, just sneeking it at £49:
![]()
isn’t it adorable?
I also really love this green duffle coat (I love duffle coats) from the Debenhams Casual Collection, a steal at £49:

Or, I could break the mould completely, and go for this amazing (in my eyes at least) Khaki roll sleeve parka (also from Red Herring), for £38:

I really don’t think I was in danger of being labelled a parka girll, but the more I look at this, the more I kinda love it.
Any thoughts?
I don’t know what’s happened to me lately. I seem to have turned a fashion corner and suddenly my shoe envy knows no bounds. I bought two amazing pairs from Schuh for a total of £25 (with free shipping and £5 off by using the discount code ONLINE) and now I’ve been browsing their site and have found no less than twenty pairs I’d also like to own. Eeep.
I’m a Tiffany girl at heart, I admit it. The first person I ever loved bought me a Tiffany necklace, and it was the only thing I didn’t sell when it all ended, because I really do believe every girl should own a piece at least once in her life. I eventually gave it to my sister (and then bought her her own piece, a letter K) when I bought the Elsa Peretti Bean for myself in Chicago.
So, you can imagine my glee when, after a shower a few weeks ago, I managed to drop one of my rings into the toilet. (I know, gross right?) Instead of mourning the loss of the £6 ring fromAccessorise, I immediately began to fantasize about what I could buy to replace it, and I think it’s going to have to be one of these two beauties:

Paloma Picasso Loving Heart Ring here & here. (Tiffany is flash based so you can’t link to picture url’s and all the replicas on google are making my heart hurt a little)(Thanks for the pictures, Amy!) Playing at Audrey Hepburn for the day is always fun, I’d love to go into the store and try on jewellery, but somehow I don’t think my purse will accomodate
How adorable is this necklace? Obviously being a complete twitter nut, the idea of having a necklace shaped like the twitter bird appeals.
she also has some really super cute earrings, but I can’t wear earrings anymore so none of that goodness for me. I guess I’ll have to console myself with a set of necklaces instead. Such hardship!
I’ve been a Benefit girl ever since a saw a friends blusher – kept in it’s own little box with an adorable brush sat snug inside. Genius! I usually wear 10 or Dandelion, but with my hair the crazy red colour it is Dandelion is just too pink, and my 10 has practically run out. So off I went, hunting something new, and I came back with Coralista (which I gather hasn’t been out for too long, I’ve certainly never seen it before).
It’s not exactly cheap at £22.50 per box, but each of my blushers has lasted over a year, so you get a pretty good run for your money
I team it with a sweep of Bad Gal (the best mascara I’ve ever used) if I’m heading to the office, and a nice swatch of urban decay honey if I’m heading out on the town.
the eyeshadow is on sale at ASOS at the moment, and for just £7.75 I think I might snap myself up a few more colours
Do You Like Sprinkles? (Originally uploaded by Fanboy30)
This fabulous man is celebrating his birthday today, so pop on over and say hi
So, I met up with the wonderous Becky at the weekend (plus the fabulous Charlie, the effervescent Brittany and the stunning Amy), and she confessed that she’s kind of obsessed with pretzels. Can we say cute?
I saw these pieces of etsy today, and immeadiately thought of her and her insatiable craving.
1. Petite Pretzel ring by melaniefavreau on Etsy.
A steal at $40.
2. Pretzel Necklace by Lucy Folk
Sadly the second one is £255 (yikes!) but it is amazing, right?

I love being able to find things on the internet, that change the way I think or feel about things. Seeing things like this makes me want to explore more.
I have recently re-discovered my love of letter and postcard writing. I’ve been snailmailing with @natters and @rachelhatesjazz (Paul & Rachel, respectively. If anyone else would like to be penpals, let me know!), and at the weekend I re-stumbled across the wonder that is Postcrossing.com
The premise is simple. You sign up, you request an address, you send a postcard. Each postcard is assigned a unique identifying code, and when your postcard is registered at the other end, your address goes into the pool for someone else to pick up.
I love this idea, and used it a few years ago, with wonderful results. Postcards from all over the world, from strangers willing to put a little time and effort it. What could be better?
Of course, back then I had hundreds of free postcards at my disposal because I used to collect them from the student union and cinema religiously. These days there is short supply, so I’ve been looking out for some that take my fancy, and I think I’ve found some neat contenders.
1. Petit Collage Eco-Keepsake Notecards – By Lorena Siminovich (£7.99)
aren’t these little birds adorable?
2. Rothko Postcard Book (on sale at £5)
I’ve long adored Rothko, so much so that I’m not sure I’d be able to send them if I bought them. Hrm.
Or, I could go one step further and make my own at
3. Moo.com (from £11.99)
(you can get free shipping at moo.com at the moment with the code 9MYXUJ) I love the idea of personalising postcards, so come payday I think that might be where I’m heading.
